Reading is an essential part of learning a language. Having good reading habits is of great significance to learn English well.
In order to cultivate children's interest in English learning, Tianjin Guanghua Foreign Languages School launches an English picture book reading activity in October 2020.
为培养孩子对英语的学习兴趣，培养学生良好的语言学习习惯，北辰“小外”于2020年10月开展了"好书如挚友”英语绘本阅读活动。

为什么要读英文绘本？
Picture book is the most suitable book for children to read. Reading English picture books can help children in memorizing words, cultivate their English language sense and English thinking. It can also broaden children's horizons.
绘本是最适合儿童阅读的图书。阅读英语绘本可以加深孩子对单词的记忆，培养孩子的英语语感、英语思维，开拓孩子眼界。

In this activity, the first grade pupils read their favourite picture books to their classmates; the second grade pupils tell their friends the picture book stories they read and share their feelings and understandings. Through sharing, pupils not only enhance their self-confidence, but also feel the pleasure of reading.
好书共分享，书香满校园。读书重在分享。在此次英语绘本阅读活动中，一年级学生给同学们朗读自己喜欢的绘本，二年级学生给朋友讲自己所读到的绘本故事并分享自己的所感所悟。通过分享，学生不仅增强了自信，也感受到了阅读的乐趣。
