I can tell English stories!——北辰小外英语讲故事比赛精彩回顾

    With the arrival of the World Book Day on April 23, a new round of English reading activities in Tianjin Guanghua Foreign Languages School started.

    伴随着4月23日“世界读书日”（World Book Day)的到来，北辰小外的学子们开启了新一轮的英语读书活动。

I can tell English stories!

    In order to encourage pupils to show and share their reading achievements in a vivid way, our school held an English Storytelling Competition in April.

    为鼓励学生以生动活泼的形式展示并分享自己的阅读成果，外大北辰光华附校于四月开展了“英文故事我来讲”英语讲故事比赛。

   The pupils were enthusiastic about the competition and prepared for it actively. 

    学生们热情高涨，积极响应，主动备赛。

初赛 · Preliminary

  The teachers carefully guided the pupils to practice the speeches.

   教师对参赛选手进行了悉心指导。从表情动作，到语音语调，每一个环节都反复推敲，不断练习。

决赛 · Final

  After the preliminary round, a total of 14 contestants  entered the final.

    经过一系列的激烈角逐，一二年级共有14名选手进入决赛。

  The final was held on April 26.  In the final, the contestants vividly performed a series of interesting and thought-provoking stories. Let's have a look at their wonderful performances!

    决赛于4月26日举行。决赛中，小选手们生动形象地演绎了一篇篇有趣又发人深省的故事。让我们一起看看他们的精彩表现吧！

Hosted in Chinese and English

    Contestants in the first grade used expressive language and lively body movements to fully present the stories and characters.

    一年级选手们用富有表现力的语言和活泼的肢体动作，将故事情节、角色个性渲染得淋漓尽致。

  With their clear pronunciation, natural expression, proficient oral skills and confident smiles, the second grade contestants showed their love and persistence for learning English.

    二年级选手们以清晰的发音、自然地表达、优美的语言，娴熟的口语能力和自信的微笑，展现出他们对于学习英语的热爱和执着。

  On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, pupils in our school told red stories in English to inherit the revolutionary spirit and present a gift to the Party!

    为庆祝中国共产党成立100周年，我校学子心系祖国，用英文讲述红色故事，传承革命精神，向党的百年华诞献礼！

 This competition has not only exercised pupils’ English language application ability, but also improved their sense of English, which has laid a foundation for their future English learning.

    此次比赛锻炼了学生的英语语言运用能力及表演能力，提高了学生的英语语感，为日后的英语学习奠定了基础。校园因故事而缤纷多彩, 因学子而生机勃勃。

  Our school will continue to strengthen pupils’ oral English training, and comprehensively improve pupils’ English ability. Let the world hear our voice!

    我校将以此为契机，继续加强学生英语口语的训练，全面提升学生的英语素养，向世界传递中国声音！
